The Engbertsdijksvenen is a nature reserve east of Westerhaar-Vriezenveensewijk.
It is an international wetland and the largest and most important raised bog area in Western Europe. For birdwatchers, nature lovers and walkers, it is a true eldorado and, thanks to the efforts of many volunteers, the best surveyed fauna area in the Netherlands.
